The weather in July 2016 in the Outer Hebrides was far from conducive for a family holiday (or for photography for that matter (3rd wettest and 4th dullest in record apparently).  So when it wasn’t raining it was over cast – but this did lead to some lovely subdued light conditions and some dramatic skies throughout the trip through the Hebrides and beyond to Ullapool.

When we were staying in our van at Luskentrye, the boy and myself went for a quick walk – 3 hours later we returned to the van 🙂 having enjoyed each other’s company and taken a few interesting landscape photographs along the way.  Horgabost, Seilebost and Luskentrye are a bit of photographic Mecca for photographers visiting Harris and the Outer Hebrides, that said I couldn’t resist this shot of a person walking their dog over on the Seilebost side of the bay.
